Angular Development

Angular is a strong choice for large, form-heavy business applications that many developers will maintain for years. Vibidsoft builds new Angular applications, upgrades older Angular versions and migrates legacy AngularJS (1.x) apps, which stopped receiving support in 2022.

  • 12+ years building web front ends

When Angular is the right choice

  • Large teams that benefit from Angular's opinionated structure and built-in tooling.
  • Enterprise apps with many forms, complex validation and strict typing.
  • Organisations already using Angular or .NET that want consistency across projects.

For SEO-focused public websites we usually recommend Next.js instead, and we will tell you if another framework suits your case better.

FAQ

Angular Development questions, answered.

Ask an engineer
Is AngularJS still supported?
No. AngularJS (1.x) reached end of life on 31 December 2021 and no longer receives security fixes. We recommend migrating to Angular or React.
Can you upgrade an old Angular application?
Yes. We upgrade version by version using the Angular update guide, fix breaking changes and update libraries, with tests to protect existing features.
Angular or React: which should we choose?
Both are excellent. Angular suits large enterprise teams that want a complete framework; React suits teams that want flexibility and a large ecosystem. We recommend based on your team and product.
How much does it cost to migrate from AngularJS to Angular?
The cost of an AngularJS migration depends on the number of screens and components, how much business logic sits in controllers, test coverage and whether the design is changing too. Vibidsoft starts with a fixed-price assessment (from $1,500) that maps the application and recommends an approach. The migration itself is then priced through our Modernize & Rescue service, from $5,000, or as a milestone project with a fixed price per stage.
How long does an AngularJS to Angular migration take?
Small AngularJS apps can be migrated in a few weeks, while large enterprise applications often take several months. The safest approach is usually incremental: modules are rebuilt in modern Angular and released in stages, so users are never left without a working system. Timelines depend mostly on the number of screens, custom directives and third-party libraries that have no modern equivalent and must be replaced.
Is Angular still a good choice for new enterprise applications in 2026?
Yes. Angular is actively developed by Google, releases a new major version roughly every six months and gives each version a defined support window, which suits applications that must run for years. Recent versions added standalone components, signals and faster builds, making it lighter than older Angular. It works best for large, form-heavy business systems maintained by several developers who benefit from its strong conventions.
Who can maintain and support our existing Angular application?
Vibidsoft can. We start by reviewing the code, dependencies and Angular version, then fix urgent issues and agree a support plan. A care plan, from $1,500 a month, covers bug fixes, security updates and planned version upgrades for a live system. If you also need new features delivered regularly, an outcome pod gives you a dedicated team working to agreed sprint goals for a fixed monthly fee.
Should we migrate AngularJS to modern Angular or rewrite it in React?
Choose modern Angular if your team already knows Angular concepts, the app is large and form-heavy, or you want to migrate in stages while both versions run side by side. Choose React if you are redesigning the interface anyway, plan to share developers with other React projects, or want a smaller core library. AngularJS reached end of life at the end of 2021, so either path is better than staying put.
